Sujit Choudhry Meets to Discuss Improving the Government of the Ukraine

Sujit Choudhry is one of the world’s leading experts in comparative constitutional law. Comparative law is a term with which many people are unfamiliar. Recently, on July 10,2017, Sujit Choudhry visited Kiev to discuss the current problems of the government of the Ukraine. He met with other scholars, leaders and constitutional experts to discuss solutions to the instability that the government of the Ukraine is presently experiencing. Choudhry stated that part of the problem was that the executive branch had too much power. Additionally, there were problems with the legislative electoral process and weak political parties that added to the government’s instability. Sujit Choudhry has a very strong academic and professional background. He attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He earned law degrees from the University of Toronto, Harvard and Oxford. After graduating from law school, Choudhry worked as a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, Antonio Lamar.
